About The KPS Group

What does The KPS Group actually do? +

We're an implementation-focused business infrastructure partner. We diagnose operational bottlenecks, design practical fixes, and implement the systems, processes, and tools your business needs to run cleaner. This spans operations, CRM, automation, field service platforms, accounting setup, custom tools, and more. We don't just advise — we do the work.

Who do you work with? +

Startups, small businesses, and mid-size businesses. Typically owner-led companies with 1–100 employees that are growing but struggling with operational messiness, disconnected systems, or backend infrastructure that hasn't kept pace with revenue. We do not take enterprise engagements.

Are you a consulting firm? +

No. Consultants diagnose and recommend. We diagnose, design, and implement. Every engagement produces working outcomes — configured tools, documented processes, built workflows, trained teams. We're an implementation partner, not an advisory firm.

What industries do you work with? +

We work across industries, but we see the most demand from home service businesses (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest control), residential remodelers and contractors, startups building their operational foundation, and owner-led mid-size businesses. The common thread is the stage and need, not the industry.

Do you work remotely or on-site? +

Primarily remote, with on-site visits when the engagement calls for it. We're based in Dallas-Fort Worth and serve clients nationwide. For diagnosis work, we often prefer to observe operations firsthand — whether that's on-site or through screen shares and team interviews.

How engagements work

How does an engagement typically start? +

It starts with a free assessment — a 30-minute conversation where we understand your situation, identify what's going on, and determine whether we're a fit. From there, most clients move into either a Systems Audit (to diagnose what's broken) or a Cleanup & Buildout project (when you already know what needs fixing).

How long do engagements last? +

A Systems Audit takes 1–2 weeks. A Cleanup & Buildout project typically runs 4–8 weeks depending on scope. Ongoing Implementation Partner engagements are month-to-month and continue as long as the relationship is productive. We scope based on your actual situation.

How much does it cost? +

It depends on the scope. We price based on the work required, not by the hour. You'll know the investment before we start. We don't believe in open-ended hourly billing that incentivizes slow work. We scope, price, and deliver.

What if we only need help with one thing? +

That's fine. Not every business needs a full operational overhaul. If you need HubSpot set up, QuickBooks cleaned up, or a specific workflow automated, we scope and execute that focused engagement. We don't upsell you into work you don't need.

What happens after the project is done? +

You own everything we build — the configurations, documentation, SOPs, automations, tools. We don't create dependency. Some clients move into an ongoing partnership. Others take the deliverables and run independently. Either way, everything is documented and handed off cleanly.

Platforms and custom solutions

What platforms and tools do you work with? +

We're platform-agnostic. Common platforms include HubSpot, QuickBooks, GoHighLevel, Housecall Pro, Jobber, ServiceTitan, Zapier, Make.com, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Airtable, Notion, and many others. We recommend and implement based on your business needs, not our preferences.

Can you help us choose the right software? +

Yes. Platform selection is part of our diagnostic process. We evaluate your needs — team size, workflow complexity, budget, existing tools, growth trajectory — and recommend the platform that fits. We don't push one solution for every business.

Do you build custom software? +

Yes, when it's the right solution. We build custom internal tools, dashboards, web apps, and operational templates for businesses that have outgrown spreadsheets but don't need enterprise software. We also recommend simpler solutions (Airtable, Retool, Glide) when the complexity doesn't warrant custom code.
