Dallas-Fort Worth
Business operations consulting for growing Dallas-Fort Worth businesses.
Dallas-Fort Worth is one of the fastest-growing metros in the country, and businesses here are scaling faster than their operations can keep up. Revenue climbs, the team grows, but the way work gets done stays stuck in the early days — informal, undocumented, and running through the owner for every decision.
That is the owner-as-bottleneck pattern, and it hits DFW businesses hard. The demand is there. The team is there. But the operational infrastructure — the processes, handoffs, SOPs, and accountability structures — has not kept pace. We step in and build it.
The problem
Why do growing DFW businesses struggle with operations?
The pattern is the same across Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, and every fast-growing corridor in between. A business wins more work, hires more people, and adds more tools — but nobody stops to build the operational layer that holds it all together. Processes live in someone's head. Handoffs break between departments. The owner is still the fallback for every question, every escalation, and every decision that does not have a clear owner.
It is not a strategy problem. The business knows what it needs to do. It is an implementation problem — the processes, documentation, and accountability structures that let a business run without depending on any single person have never been built. That is the gap we close.
What we implement
What operational infrastructure does The KPS Group implement for DFW businesses?
We do not write reports about what you should do. We build the processes, documentation, and systems your DFW business needs to operate consistently and scale cleanly.
Process Mapping & Bottleneck Diagnosis
We map how work actually moves through your business — not how you think it does — and identify the handoffs, delays, and bottlenecks costing you time and money.
Workflow Design & Sequencing
Redesigned workflows that define what happens, in what order, and who is responsible. Clear sequences that eliminate guesswork and reduce dropped balls.
SOP Documentation
Written, usable standard operating procedures for every critical process in your business. Built for your team to actually follow, not gather dust in a shared drive.
Handoff Standardization
Defined handoff points between roles, departments, and stages of your operation. No more "I thought you were handling that" conversations.
Role Clarity & Accountability
Clear ownership for every process, task, and outcome. Everyone knows what they are responsible for, what they are not, and who to escalate to.
Adoption Support & Training
We do not just document processes and leave. We train your team, support the transition, and stay involved until the new way of working actually sticks.

Common questions about business operations consulting
What does business operations consulting actually include?
For us it is implementation, not advice. We map how work really moves through your business, redesign the workflows that are breaking, document usable SOPs, define the handoffs between roles, and set clear ownership for every process and outcome. Then we train your team and stay involved until the new way of working sticks.
We do not have any documented processes. Is that a problem for getting started?
Not at all — that is the norm for the businesses we work with. Most operations live in the owner’s head and a few people’s habits. We start by observing and mapping how work actually happens today, then turn that into documented, repeatable processes. You do not need anything written down before we begin; producing that is part of the job.
How is this different from hiring an operations manager?
An operations manager runs the day-to-day; we build the systems that person would otherwise spend a year figuring out on their own. We come in, diagnose the bottlenecks, design and document the processes, and hand over a working operational backbone. Many clients bring us in before or alongside an ops hire so that person inherits real infrastructure instead of chaos.
Will the SOPs and processes actually get used, or just sit in a shared drive?
Adoption is the part most consulting skips, and it is where we spend the most effort. We build processes for how your team really works, not an idealized version, then train people on them and support the transition until the new workflow is the default. Documentation nobody follows is not a deliverable we are willing to leave behind.
How long does an operations engagement take?
It depends on scope — a focused cleanup of one broken workflow is far shorter than rebuilding operations across a whole company. We work in defined phases with clear outcomes at each step, so you see progress early and are not signing up for an open-ended engagement. The first conversation is where we scope it honestly.
